We see our Small Groups at the building blocks of the Church.
Christianity was never intended to be a ‘solo ride’. In fact, Christianity finds its most fulfilling and wonderful expression when people live, act and work in community – as friends, brothers and sisters in Christ.
We have several active Ministry Groups which meet either in the morning, afternoon or evening on various days of the week. We encourage you to contact our office so we can place you in a Ministry Group where you will develop lifelong friendships.
Grace Woman's Ministry
“You then, my daughter, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”
2 Timothy 2:1
Grace Women’s Ministry meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Youth Lounge from 7pm – 8:30pm. We come together as Sisters in Christ to create a space for a moment of Grace as we talk, sing, eat, drink and pray together.
“Be Connected” offers an opportunity for all the members of St John’s to move from anonymity to connectedness.
The parish has 12 geographical zones, parishioners living in each zone fall under an “ambassador” (2 Corinthians 5:20), who will extend a hand of friendship to them.
We trust that a network of friendship and fellowship will form and grow in a natural and non-threatening way under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, giving parishioners a sense of connectedness in the family of God and the body of Christ at St John’s.
Cancer Support meets on the 1st Thursday of the month at 10:00 in the Youth Lounge.
A wonderful time of fellowship, support and encouragement is shared by all.
Do join us for a cuppa and a chat!
A-Men Corner was created for just this purpose.
The idea of this group, to which all men, from 18 to 80, are invited, is to learn from each other and from the teachings that are given, whether from live speakers or from DVD’s. We would also like this group to be run by the men themselves, and so we welcome all suggestions from them, as to what will be prepared for them.
We meet in the youth lounge on the second Thursday evening of each month, from 19h00 to 21h00, and all men are very welcome to attend, so that we, as brothers in Christ, can support each other, and learn from each other.
At St. John’s we are blessed to be a healthy multi-generational family of believers. Within this part of the vineyard of the body of Christ is our very own Young Adults Cell Group.
Our cell group is comprised of a beautifully diverse group of people. Not only young people from St. John’s but from our sister parishes in our diocese as well as those from other denominations. So we are a real kingdom-orientated group. Our ages range from nineteen years of age and upwards.
Happening every Wednesday @ 7PM.
