The power of agreement!

Matthew 18:19
“… Again I tell you that if two of you on earth agree ( being in full agreement and unity regarding the matter at hand) about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven….”

Believers, there is great power in corporate prayer when believers unite, pray and agree on a matter that God’s hand moves in mighty ways. Many believers miss out on a powerful encounter with God due to the fact that they do not believe in prayer out loud or with others. Some make the excuse that they are shy or have introverted personalities. Although this might be so, each of us has to realize that we are missing out on an aspect of encountering God if we hold on to such justifications and excuses all the time.
The Body of Christ contains all believers in Jesus Christ – given to one another for the building up and exhortation of all. We are here to encourage and uplift one another. We are here to pray with and for each other; to love; support and comfort one another. We need to start taking up our unity among one another so that our prayers of agreement might have a more powerful effect.
The Body of Christ is so divided that it robs believers of the powerful experience of the prayer of agreement. Despite this, believers have become selfish with the gospel message and their focus in their walk with God solely rests upon themselves. This is sad, because there is so much more available to the Body of Christ than that. Division must be dealt with and disagreements must be resolved. This is vital if we desire the power of available to us as stipulated in this.
Believers, take a bold step today. Ask someone to pray with you. Someone you know loves God. Whatever your situation is, come into agreement about it with another believer and then pray together about it. Do this today! Do it now! Put aside differences and take up unity! You will see the amazing effect of that prayer in due time! God is faithful to His words!

Prayer: “Father God, we realized that we allow personal differences to come between us and other believes in You. We ask Your forgiveness. We also acknowledge the power of the prayer of agreement and we choose today to start making it a regular practice to pray with other believers. We thank You for the amazing gift of corporate prayer. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.”
